Email Suite: Allows faxes to be forwarded to any email address in PDF format. You can check faxes while traveling or when working away from the computer where the 4-Sight Fax client resides. 4-Sight Fax v7.5.7, with the Email Suite, allows for faxes to be sent to a recipient's fax number, email address, or both simultaneously.
Windows Clients: 4-Sight Fax is also compatible with Microsoft Windows, providing even more network coverage. Mixed-platform environments can use 4-Sight Fax simultaneously without having to switch faxing applications, making this the only fax solution you'll have to buy.
Apple Address Book Support: With support for Apple's OS X address book, users will be able to integrate contacts fax numbers and e-mail addresses from 3 distinct sources: their local 4-Sight Fax address book, their local Apple Address book and the server's centralized and newly expanded address book.
Expanded Address Book: 4-Sight Fax has enhanced its personal address book with more room for client names, numbers, address groups and fax lists by expanding the server address book for 20 fields. Previously, under version 5, the Fax Server address book had a maximum capacity of 4 fields. And as always, a server-based address book is available and can be easily configured to hold frequently used numbers. This is an outstanding feature for businesses that want to send fax blasts to several thousand customers quickly.
Automatic end user fax notification: Even when the program is closed, users can receive fax notification and immediately open and review new faxes within seconds. The same feature allows for convenient automated program update notification and installation.
Cover page editor: The cover page editor includes a more intuitive interface and provides greater flexibility allowing users to drag and drop multiple instances of any merge field.
Caller ID capability with logging and Block List fax blocking for Junk Fax: Caller ID capabilities are built into 4-Sight Fax and integrated within the fax log. Furthermore, Caller ID provides the capability to create black lists and block repetitive unwanted junk faxes. To use this feature, the modem and phone hardware system must both support Caller ID.
Automated Line-Based Routing: Users can automatically route incoming faxes to specific users or groups of users based on the fax line on which the fax is received. This enhancement provides a cost-effective solution for companies supporting multiple departments with one fax server. It's also valuable for companies that want to assign individual fax lines to employees.
User Configurable: Users can now alternate port number preferences for the fax server. When sending faxes using multiple fax lines, users can specify the outgoing fax line any fax will be sent on, providing improved workflow and accounting.
Mac OS X compatibility: The 4-Sight Fax client is fully compatible with Mac OS X (10.3 / 10.4 / 10.5 / 10.6 / 10.7) and 9. This makes 4-Sight FAX the most advanced network faxing application available today.
TCP/IP Compatible: 4-Sight Fax supports TCP/IP so all supported Mac or Windows systems can access the fax server via the Internet. This means you'll be able to send and receive faxes quickly and economically worldwide.
Worldwide Access to Fax Server: The fax server is as close as the nearest Internet connection. The fax client can connect to the fax server using a TCP/IP connection from anywhere in the world. 4-Sight's robust client interface also allows offline access to faxes by providing local folders.
Client-side Imaging: Client users can see that an outgoing fax renders images exactly the way it was designed. Files are imaged on the client instead of the server, so fonts, logos and graphics are received the way they were intended to be.
Increased Queue and Address Book Size handling: The client can manage fax queues or address books exceeding 10,000 records. 4-Sight Fax supports fast loading and sorting of extra-large fax queues and address books. |

Server Updates
Expanded Modem Support
- The fax server supports all internal Macintosh modems along with the Apple external USB modem.
Auto Detect for Internal Modems
- The fax server will auto detect the internal modem on fresh installs (or when "Server Preferences" file does not exist). The dialog prompting to select a device will have the detected internal modem chosen.
Auto Detect for all Modems
- A "Detect" button has been added to the Device Setup dialog. Information is pulled from the modem on the selected modem port. The detect feature shows the end user which modem script to select from the Device Setup dialog.
Enhanced Archiving
- The Archiving system provides quick access to the server's entire fax history with individual fax archive queues, including a search tool that provides convenient date-range access to the fax history. Users can view incoming archived faxes in both TIFF and PDF format.
Receipt Confirmation
- Receipt Confirmation feature automatically creates an audit trail will for all successfully sent faxes. These confirmation records cannot be altered and can be used as official legal documentation of fax transactions. Official confirmation receipts can be created in a log folder on the fax server, automatically printed, and/or emailed to the Client user's e-mail account (requires Email Suite add-on).
End User Printing
- Can setup individual fax client users the ability to customize their own fax printing options. Previous versions required printing to be setup for all users.

Client Updates
Annotation Ability
- Annotation tool that enables client users to draw, write, type, copy, paste, erase, undo, and save faxes. The Annotation feature can be used on newly created faxes and received faxes that are being forwarded to another recipient.
Editing Server Address book from Client
- Authorized client users will have the ability to add, edit, and delete address book entries located on the server.
Adding to Junk Fax Number List
- Both users and administrators have the ability to add a sender's junk fax number to a fax block list.
Intelligent Dock Icon
- The Mac OS X Client has an intelligent dock item that displays the number of new unread faxes received.
Importing Client Address Book Contacts
- Import speed for the client address book has been dramatically improved, enabling users to import 10,000-plus entries in seconds vs. minutes.
Duplication Ability
- A duplication tool that allows users to copy contact(s) information. This enables the client user to quickly add new contacts to an existing company in the address book.
Search Tool in Fax Composer Window
- The new fax composer window contains a type-down search bar that gives users the ability to readily locate fax recipients while composing faxes.

4-Sight Fax Email Suite
The 4-Sight Fax Email Suite feature provides advanced PDF delivery capabilities for both incoming and outgoing faxes.
INCOMING - When incoming faxes are assigned to a 4-Sight Fax user or group, the Email Suite automatically forwards incoming faxes to the user's email address in PDF format. This creates the ability to check faxes from an email account while traveling or when working without the 4-Sight Fax client.
OUTGOING - The Email Suite also allows for faxes to be sent to a recipient's fax number, email address, or both - simultaneously. A fax sent as an email will be received as a PDF attachment. |

To run 4-Sight Fax, you will need one Mac running OS 9.2 or X (10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6/10.7) to run the Fax Server, a TCP/IP network, and a supported modem (see the list below).
